ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR, MORNING HOST - WSMR (Sarasota, FL) Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY: Host morning show with a co-host, as well as assist in the smooth operation of programming, web development and physical operation of WSMR. Responsible to host weekday air shift (early mornings) as assigned by station and/or Program Director. Assist in scheduling and editing daily music logs utilizing MusicMaster, and scheduling of programs and announcements utilizing traffic scheduling software and associated automation software. Actively work to keep WSMR’s website updated utilizing a content management system; includes routinely updating and maintaining home page, community calendar page, concert pages, and all other managed pages on the website. Responsible for overseeing and ensuring smooth, coordinated operation of the technical operations of the radio station including computer systems and associated broadcast equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous broadcast experience a minimum of three years required.
